A New Way To Buy Liquor in NYC’s Capital Region


Business Insider/Patrick T. Fallon New York City is poised to have its largest ever beer sales in 2018.

On Monday, the state Liquor and Cannabis Board approved a plan to allow retailers in the city to sell beer to people 21 and older, up from the current 18.

Liquor board officials also approved a bill to legalize recreational marijuana in the state.

It’s the latest development in a national trend of easing the regulatory burden for businesses, from retail to food, that have been on the rise in recent years.
