The cold beer shortage has begun to show its true colors.
The National Beer Wholesalers Association said Monday it has decided to suspend sales of some domestic beer in January because of a shortage.
It’s the first time the industry has done so since April when the shortage was initially announced.
The association said the suspension applies to beer and spirits sold in grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores, convenience outlets and other stores.
It also said it’s suspending sales of nonalcoholic beverages in grocery and gas stores.
